… And What’s The Deal With Jerry Seinfeld And Wale’s Awkward Handshake?

Earlier this year, we told you about Wale’s collaboration with MC Jerry Seinfeld, whose wife My Name Is Jessica and I’m Here to Say I’m the Most Famous Wife of a Jewish Comedian Who Once Had a Titular Show on NBC In the 1990s In the USA is a big fan of the Washington, D.C.-born rapper. It was meant to be a sequel to Wale’s excellent 2008 mixtape, Mixtape About Nothing, called Album About Nothing, but sadly, that hasn’t happened yet.

The two still teamed up, though, so Jerry could perform the outro for “Outro About Nothing,” from Wale’s new album, The Gifted. The whole thing’s pretty awkward, but never more so than when Seinfeld and Wale shake hands (see: 3:15). For someone who’s butchered many-a “cool” handshake attempts, as I have, it’s as relatable as “The Betrayal” is for anyone who’s waged a snowball war with a fat guy named after a dead president, as I have.
