Per internet mandate we’re required to share any and all Nick Offerman talk show appearances, because even when nothing extraordinary happens it’s still like listening to your one cool uncle effortlessly regale you with tales and advice from an eccentric life you’ll only experience vicariously.
In that regard, last night’s visit to Conan hit on all cylinders, as Conan seems to think of Nick the same way. Not only did real-life Ron Swanson show up looking like he’d just been plucked from spending the last couple of months living off the land, but he gave a tutorial on menacing bouncer looks, took playful shots at Andy, made a timely Michael Douglas shout out, and worked in a Rob Lowe dig while giving some free romance advice from his soon-to-be-published book, “Paddle Your Own Canoe.”
The romance stuff starts at the 2:50 mark, but you’d miss a lot of wonderful Offerman giggling so I suggest watching from the beginning.
