CNN Royal Baby Correspondent: Kate Middleton Is ‘Brilliant’ For Having A Boy On The First Try

Often times during the day I’ll keep CNN on while I’m working, unless, of course, they’re going nuts over poop cruises or the Zimmerman trial or whatnot. Anyway, today was, in case you somehow haven’t heard, the day that Kate and Will dropped their new royal baby, and at some point while I was working I heard CNN Royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter (yes, CNN has a Royal correspondent) say something that made me do a double-take. Like, I had to rewind to make sure I heard what I thought I’d heard.

“This is how brilliant a Royal Kate is,” Arbiter said with a straight face. “There are women throughout British Royal family history that have panicked having not being able to deliver a boy. And here we are, Kate did it first time”

Yes, she really said that…

And CNN’s coverage of the whole thing wouldn’t be complete without a couple of chyron fails…

Ugh, I can see that the Royal Baby has the potential to make me long for the days of the Zimmerman trial and the poop cruise.
