‘Always Sunny’ Comic-Con Panel: Nightcrawlers, Lethal Weapon 6 & The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Episode

The Always Sunny Gang dropped in on Comic-Con 2013’s final evening yesterday to screen their Season 9 premiere, “The Gang Broke Dee” (I like where this is headed) and then answer a few questions with the limited time still allotted. Here’s what we learned, with some season nine spoilers sprinkled in, if you can even call them that. I prefer to think of them as anticipation nuggets.

A highlight of Season 9 storylines:

“Howerton said the new season will include episodes featuring Thanksgiving, ‘Lethal Weapon 6,’ a flu epidemic.”

lethal weapon 6? Lethal Weapon 6. LETHAL WEAPON 6! What about that episode written by Game of Thrones’ David Benioff and D.B. Weiss titled “Flowers for Charlie”?

“‘It’s kind of like Limitless, where I’m taking a pill to be more smarter,’ said Day, who plays the goofball character.”

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. But will there be a Family Feud episode?

“McElhenney said the network vetoed an episode written for the upcoming season featuring the character going on the game show. He said ‘Family Feud’ was on board with the idea, but it didn’t come together.”

Why do I even know this was a possibility? Oh sweet ignorance, I want you back. At least tell me Danny DeVito takes his clothes off this season.

LOVE that Danny doesn’t even remember. Classic DeVito. Here’s a random ass question about each characters hell on earth. Mind the Mac and Frank answers.

And finally, for the first time in front of a Comic-Con Hall H audience, Rob McElhenney explains how Rob got fat in order to explain how Mac got fat.
