"What If Movie Studios Quoted The ‘How Did This Get Made?’ Podcast On Their Movie Posters?"
many lolz here, thanks.
=my roomate’s step-mother makes $87 every hour on the internet. She has been out of a job for 7 months but last month her income was $19933 just working on the internet for a few hours. More hints
The Batman & Robin one is spot on.
I could probably still rub a few to this movie, too. Those nips!
I can’t stand This American Life, it’s like what every parody of obnoxious NRP shows are like (and I LOVE NPR), I dislike it less than I dislike Radio Lab, though.
ANYWAY! I love HDTGM. Highly recommend the Punisher: War Zone one with Lexi Alexander, the Room, and Wicker Man.
The Room and Wicker Man episodes are goddamn amazing. Anything with Nicolas Cage and the Cranked movies are good, too.
If you dislike RadioLab you should listen to the Fact Time episode of K Ohle with Kurt Braunholer. It’s a perfect parody of that format.
I just can’t get past Ira’s speech impediment. You talk for a living, dude. Is too much to ask for for you to learn how to speak properly?
I really enjoyed the Crank and Crank: High Voltage pods. Also, the Roadhouse pod is fantastic.
Sharknado, Howard the Duck, The Devil’s Advocate, and 88 minutes are probably the best
I think Sleepaway camp is my favourite ep.
The Sleepaway Camp episode is hilarious. The gang whips themselves into a near psychological breakdown trying to make sense of what they just saw. I was spent just listening to it. They must have been exhausted.
Why would I want to listen to anyone crap on Demolition Man?
Their incest theory has scarred my life. I loved that movie.
Best part of of DM was the re-make of the title song in the closing credits. And I actually liked the movie.
They don’t crap on movies 100%. Sometimes they just talk about movies that are bonkers that they like. Demolition Man I believe fell into the category.
They actually reference uproxx in their most recent episode.
I was about to say that.
My favorite has to be Fast Five with Adam Scott. He’s such a great guest, they invited him back for Fast 6. And by the way, they don’t just shit on horrible movies, they sometimes celebrate a movie that’s not supposed to be good, for being insane or brilliant, or both. They actually like those so bad they’re good movies. It’s not just gratuitous craping on cinematic turds.
The Fast & Furious ones are awesome. I think they had a a reader who estimated the length of the runway in Fast 6 to be 32 miles long based on time elapsed and average speed of the cars.
Yeah, this is one of my favorite podcasts. Harmontown, Nerd Poker, and You Made it Weird are pretty great, too.
I’m a big fan of Doug Loves Movies
I love Nerd Poker and I’ve never played DnD.
I can’t look at that picture of Justin whatshisface without thinking it’s Matt Stone with a silly wig.
Wait, Scheer is married to June Diane Raphael?
Way to marry up you mutant looking fuck
Gollum married his precious.
Only once I’ve listened to is the “Cool as Ice” one – THEY ACTUALLY HAD VANILLA ICE ON IT.
Oddly enough, they all got pretty polite about the movie once he was on. And whenever they weren’t he just didn’t get it.
This podcast is literally bananas.
I see what you did there.
Gotta plug the Flop House here. It’s another bad movie podcast. The hosts are a couple of Daily Show writers and Stuart Wellington. They focus primarily on recent flops either critical or financial.
I’ll see your Flop House and raise you a We Hate Movies, GAWDDAWMMIT!
haha, I knew that I was either going to get a fellow flopper to respond, or for someone to bring up WHM.
We Hate Movies is at its best when they are covering a Jim Belushi movie.
My problem with The Flop House is that they think they are a lot funnier than I think they are.
I love this podcast. The Demolition Man, Wild Wild West and Devil’s Advocate podcasts are smashing.
I actually really enjoyed two of those movies.
Owen and TJ Read The News is the ONLY earwolf podcast worth listening to!
You have been warned.
strangely, this was not as funny as I had hoped. the best one was the Demolition Man poster.
It helps if you’ve listened to the podcast before and hear Paul, June, or Jason’s voice in your head when you read the taglines.
This is definitely my favorite podcast not named “Frotcast.”
Try 88 minutes. When Pete Holmes and the gang are all doing dueling Pacino impersonations, I literally laugh out loud.
Only one “literally”? I’m impressed!
In case anyone is confused by the pic, it’s ok: the entertainment-suck that is Howard Kremer is not part of this show.
I see some other people pointed it out too, but they just as often have fun watching the films, and they don’t always go in looking to rag on them or rip them apart (because Paul freely admits he’s been in some bad films, so who is he to judge). The Crank and Fast & Furious episodes are proof of that.
Jason is definitely the draw here, too, especially on the live episodes where he’s yelling at the audience.
Agree with both the Podcast being fantastic and Howard Kremer being a black hole where jokes go to die.
IS THERE A BABY IN HERE? BRING ME THAT BABY
I was almost in tears laughing at the Al Pacino/screenwriter voice they kept going to during The Devil’s Advocate episode and Jason’t Pacino killed me again when they did 88 Minutes. However, possibly the hardest I have ever laughed while listening to a podcast was when he was doing the “I’m coming to get that baby” bit to the weirdo in the audience who brought an actual baby to a live show.
Didn’t the writers on this site used to at least know how to put a sentence together?
“Maybe my favorite podcast after This American Life (which is regularly as good or better as almost anything on television) is the How Did This Get Made? podcast, something I actually didn’t come into until a couple of months ago because of my love for The League, although I’ve spent a lot of time since then going back through the last two years of archives.”
“[Charlize Theron's] wig is OK.”
I don’t remember her wearing a merkin when she’s naked in the church.
Oh. She did have pubes, but this is either real or the best merkin money could buy.
I’ve tried listening to these guys a few times but they seem to just shout over each other. Filmsack is a far better podcast in the same vein
I love this podcast but I had absolutely no idea that Paul and June are married.
But you guys, what exactly is a street fighter?
