"Conan Devoted His Entire Show To ‘Breaking Bad’ But The Best Part Was A ‘Low Winter Sun’ Joke"
Does Vince Gilligan look like Petyr Baelish, or am I still half asleep?
Also nailed it.
Thank you. This had been bugging me for a while.
Why yes, yes he does.
very much so
I think he also looks like Cameron from Ferris Bueller.
I think he looks like Cliff Clavin myself.
I just love how happy Vince Gilligan looks throwing blue candy (I hope its candy) to the audience. That crazy idea he had for a show paid off. i cant wait to see what he would do next .
I’m sad to see this show go but on the other end so happy that it’s ending on such an unprecedented high note and to see the whole cast get such tremendous recognition.
Seriously, look at that smile on Dean Norris’ face!
Danny Trejo to his agent after the tortoise comes out…
“Joor fired, pendejo.”
Every single one of them is adorable. Ugh! I’m going to miss them so much!
Do you think Gilligan ever makes another show? Or just figures he’ll never top this one and ride off into the sunset?
He will probably do something completely different.
PBS kids show?
I want to Johnathan Banks and Dean Norris to be my supportive but stern uncles who keep me on the right path in life.
I want Bryan Cranston to be my crazy but worldly-wise uncle who gets into crazy shit with me.
I want Aaron Paul’s shirt.
I was really hoping Conan would be driving through the desert in his 1993 Ford Taurus, but that opening was still amazing.
It was a Ford, didn’t see if it was his taurus, though.
Anyone else cringe when they saw Anna Gunn?
Just you. Anna Gunn is awesome.
Maybe because she’s too gorgeous?
I did, stinkandburn.
People who hate Skyler are idiots. Shes probably the best non-Game-of-Thrones female character on television.
I never said anything about Skyler, did i? Anna looks disgustingly skinny you can see it in her legs, arms, and face.
I thought it was a guy that wrote that letter too.
Bryan Cranston is a national treasure.
Man, these are some cool people. The encouraging of Walt Jr. to get a tattoo from Aaron and Bryan is amazing. Yeah, I can call them by their first names.
I watched the whole thing because I love BB and Conan but this was a bad idea to have the entire cast on. Aaron Paul seemed overlooked as did Dean Norris.
Yes, we’ve heard little to nothing from Aaron Paul and Dean Norris over the years regarding BB and so much from Anna Gunn, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, Bob Odenkirk, and Jonathan Banks.
My God, who is this Aaron Paul? And Dean Norris? It’s like i’ve never heard them talk before.
You just listed 5 people who had even less time than Aaron Paul and Dean Norris. Cramming the entire cast onto the stage at the same time was a waste of everyone (except Bryan Cranston who came off as a little obnoxious even).
This victory lap they’re running seems like so much fun.
The best part of that letter was Andy thinking a guy wrote it.
“we have so much to cover”
Said Conan after ever commercial break.
At this point even if they’d just pan away from Walter and showed Vince pitching the show only to get rejected I think it’d be epic
Random Trivia Time for the bored…
So, Sepinwall wrote “The Revolution Was Televised”, in which he celebrated the following shows as changing the culture of TV over the past 15 years – The Sopranos, Oz, The Wire, Deadwood, The Shield, Lost, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 24, Battlestar Galactica, Friday Night Lights, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad.
Anna Gunn (Deadwood) and Jesse Plemons (Friday Night Lights) had significant roles in two of them. I’ve not watched all episodes of all of the twelve (and some not at all) but can anyone recall if there are other actors who’ve had significant roles in more than one of these shows?
Todd’s nazi uncle Jack from Breaking Bad was one of The Others on Lost. He’s the guy whose wife got shot by Sawyer, I believe, and the one who kept torturing Kate and Sawyer until he was run over by the van near the end of Season 3.
Dean Norris was on an episode of Lost, as a guy Miles was trying to rip off with his ghost-hunting service. Miles ended up telling the guy the truth, that he didn’t see his dead son, and that he wouldn’t take his money.
Jim Beaver, aka Walt’s gun dealer on Breaking Bad, was obviously Ellsworth on Deadwood.
There are plenty more, but those are the first that came to mind.
Michael B. Jordan, Vince from Friday Nigh Lights, was obviously Wallace on The Wire.
EDIT: I was wrong, the Other who gets shot is actually Trixie from Deadwood, and it’s Sun who shoots her.
Kevin Rankin (who plays one of the Nazis, Kenny) also played Herc in 21 episodes of Friday Night Lights, and was also in an episode of Lost, and Buffy
Upon further IMBD’ing Dean Norris was also on a couple episodes of 24. On a sidenote they totally need to bring Jonathan Banks on as Jack Bauers uncle for the new 24 series.
Larry Gilliard Jr. (D’Angelo Barksdale) also appeared in a couple late season episodes of Friday Night Lights (maybe only one, I can’t really remember what he did but it had to do with East Dillon) as well as a recurring role on The Walking Dead (Bob Stookey).
He was also the kicker in The Waterboy, so, you know, he’s doing pretty well.
Edit: Sorry that was supposed to be a response to SomeGuyInVA
That’s nice that Dean Norris named his kid after Vince. Nice things for nice people.
Cranston going through the audience and shaking practically everyone’s hands melted my heart.
Aaron Paul was dapper and adorable as always. RJ Mitte cleans up pretty well too.
Betsy Brandt admitting she’s a petty thief was fantastic.
It’s always nice to be reminded that Jonathan Banks is just as much of a badass as Mike in real life.
Wish the show had been extended for the special circumstances but I’m just so smitten with the whole cast that just seeing them all in one room was a delight.
