Breaking Bad (AMC, Sunday 9 p.m.) — Don’t forget, Breaking Bad runs 75 minutes this week and next, so double check your DVRs, Low Winter Sun fans. Also, besides “Ozymandias,” how many other television episodes can you identify by their titles? Even the year’s other most famous episode is called the “Red Wedding” episode, instead of “Rains of Castamere”? There’s Seinfeld’s “The Bet.” Maybe Mad Men’s “The Suitcase”? It’s just not that common, and for the next generation or two, when people say “Ozymandias,” the first thought will not be the epic poem, but the epic episode of Breaking Bad.
65th Primetime Emmy Awards (CBS, Sunday 8 p.m.) — I know most of you will take a 75-minute break from the telecast, but while you’re watching it, do stop by Uproxx for our live discussion throughout the episode. I’d at least show up for the opening, because whatever you want to say about the uselessness of awards shows, there’s nothing useless about Neil Patrick Harris.
Sunday Night Football (NBC, Sunday 8:20 p.m.) — Chicago Bears at Pittsburgh Steelers. Don’t worry, Bears fans. No one sacks a Cutler.
Dexter (Showtime, Sunday 9 p.m.) — SERIES FINALE. OH THANK GOD.
Ray Donovan (Showtime, Sunday 10 p.m.) — FIRST SEASON FINALE. I don’t remember at exactly what point in the season it was, but I quit on this show when they showed a dream sequence involving Jon Voight backdoor banging two women. NO REGRETS.
Copper (BBC American, Sunday 9 p.m.) — SERIES FINALE. I doubt it was written as a series finale, but it was announced earlier this week that the show had been cancelled. Don’t worry, though. Ripper Street, the other show that’s almost just like Copper, but slightly better, is still returning at the end of the year.
Legend of Korra (Nickelodeon, Friday 7 p.m.) — I don’t watch this cartoon, but it’s the sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender, which I’ve heard nothing but terrific things about (and was going to introduce to my son before learning that they yanked it from Netflix). I’m assuming the sequel is just as great.
