‘It’s A F*cking Law’: Jon Stewart Went To Town On The GOP Over The Government Shutdown

Now, I’m just a small-town blogger. I can’t tell no difference between hipping and hopping and twerking and jerking, but what I do know is: who’s going to look after the baby pandas now that the government’s shutdown? Round these parts, we look after our own baby pandas, but I can’t say the same for those clowns in Washington D.C.

Sorry if that “clown” comment was a little too edgy, but Jon Stewart’s got me all riled up. Last night on The Daily Show, Stewart tore into the GOP over the now existent-shutdown, which has closed parks and museums, made it impossible to get a gun permit and passport, and again, the baby pandas and baby penguins. He likened the situation to an “asshole causing a head-on collision,” and later added, “You’re not helping yourself if it turns out that President Obama can make a deal with the most intransigent, hardline, unreasonable, totalitarian mullahs in the world, but not with Republicans. Maybe he’s not the problem.” Not as biting as my clown dig, but it’ll do.
