To mark yesterday’s Great American Smoke Out, Ellen Degeneres imagined a Mad Men universe where Don Draper stops sucking on deadly cancer sticks and starts blowing on something much more upbeat and celebratory.
While this version of Don Draper will likely live longer, there’s no way a single lifestyle change will cure all of his self-destructive behavior. It’s only a matter of time before tobacco-free Don destroys the agency’s Party City account with his “Why I’m Quitting Noise Makers” ad in The New York Times.
