Grab The Torches And Pitchforks: Pete Holmes Tried To Fire Storm From The X-Men

The Pete Holmes Show posted a new “Ex-Men” segment in which Professor X insults and fires mutants like Rogue, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Jubilee, Angel, Gambit, and Wolverine. One mutant we never thought he could fire was Storm, but not even she’s shielded from Professor X’s ire when she refuses to help him golf on an otherwise rainy day.

As with the Nightcrawler sketch, they had to come up with a pretense for firing a mutant with awesome powers. I don’t know. I’m starting to hope they fire some of the less recognizable (but more deserving) mutants. When is Professor X going to replace Cypher with Google Translate? When is he going to fire Slipstream for having to carry his dumb surfboard everywhere? And he could fire Skin just on the basis of being gross (not to mention useless if more than six feet from someone). And, even though they don’t have the budget to do Beak, we just want to say f–k that guy.

At least this segment of the Ex-Men flips the script. Storm — or as Professor X calls her, “Whorenado” — quits before he can fire her. Because Storm is awesome. (And Beak still sucks.)
