‘Game Of Thrones’ Actor Richard Madden Had A Bathroom Disaster On The Set Of ‘Klondike’

Game of Thrones alum Richard Madden is out there doing the rounds this week to promote Klondike, his new Discovery gold-mining miniseries from Ridley Scott and David Zucker. In one of the interviews, with the Hollywood Reporter, he told this story, which I am bringing to your attention for the following reasons:

  • It is about a peeing-in-the-snow-related mishap.
  • It’s a hilarious visual.
  • Game of Thrones Season 4 is still months away, and I’ll take any excuse I can to mention it in a headline, especially if I can also work in the phrase “bathroom disaster.”
  • Adorable British slang.

Take it away, King in the North:

I remember one day doing Klondike when we were at the top of this mountain and there was no warm shelter. They couldn’t put up tents for warm shelter and because of what we were shooting, there was no one running from costume to put a real jacket on you. I had to go to the bathroom and there was a little tree sticking up from the ground through all the snow and I fell right up to my neck and I just sunk in with my hands down my pants and screamed for someone to come and pull me out. At least on Thrones we had ported loos!

This has been the first installment in what I PRAY becomes a multi-part series called Games of Thrones Castmembers Having Trouble Peeing In The Snow.
