AMC has released a second trailer for the back half of The Walking Dead‘s fourth season. It’s a lot like the first trailer, in that it reuses a bunch of the same clips and the exact “We’ll never get things back to the way they used to be” line from Rick in a voiceover. But that’s not the biggest disappointment. The biggest disappointment is that the giant snake Daryl was holding in the extended preview is nowhere to be seen. I was hoping it was a new series regular, like a live-action version of Sir Hiss from the animated, all-animal Robin Hood movie. That would have been fun. But nooooooooooooooo, apparently the producers of The Walking Dead only care about “zombies” and “interpersonal relationships” and “season long story arcs that don’t include the comings and goings of a talking snake of questionable intelligence.”
Whatever. I’ll just pitch this idea to Mad Men. The snake and Pete would get along famously.
