Jimmy Fallon certainly has a talent for bringing out the best in his guests and using them to create entertaining bits on his show. We’ve had Sam Jackson reading Boy Meets World slam poems, Ahhhnuld throwing out catch phrases and “shilling” for QVC and now there’s Anne Hathaway using the pipes she showed off in Les Misérables to perform broadway versions of rap songs.
Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar are all represented here as Fallon and Hathaway transform them into the smoothest, jazziest show tunes you’ve ever heard. And it’s fine if you like this sort of thing.
I think I was personally tired of this sort of thing back Richard Cheese and Dynamite Hack were big deals at my high school. That was a long time ago, but here we are in 2014 and we’re still dealing with these sort of things.
