Let’s Take A Moment To Enjoy This, The Greatest Of All Stan Lee Photographs

Written by RoboPanda / 05.21.13

Vince Cracchiolo covered last weekend’s Motor City Comic Con for Bleeding Cool. Besides finding out both Norman Reedus and Cary Elwes were being incredibly gracious to fans at the event in Farmington Hills, Michigan, we also spotted the best photo ever of Stan Lee. Yes, even better than this one.

This seven-year-old girl dressed up as Stan Lee, and this is so sweet my eyes are getting diabetes. Look, she’s even doing Spider-Man’s webslinger hand gestures! GAH, TOO ADORABLE. My heart grew three sizes this day. (Excelsior, and so on.)

Have A Tuesday Of Science With Bill Nye GIFs

Written by Dan Seitz / 05.21.13

It’s hard to think of a human being more enthusiastic about science, or science education, than one Bill Nye. When he’s not busy tormenting Ed Begley Jr., he’s discussing environmental science, hosting serious science documentaries, and doing actual scientific work, as befitting his background as an engineer at Boeing. And you’ll often find him explaining science to news anchors and possibly rabid people incredibly patiently on CNN or MSNBC.

But, of course, he’s best known as Bill Nye The Science Guy, and that’s what these GIFs are all about. Read the rest of this entry »

Why The Biggest Change To ‘Man Of Steel’ May Be Minor

Written by Dan Seitz / 05.20.13

No, it’s not that Zod is secretly Lemongrab. Although that’d be awesome.

By all accounts, one of the bad ideas from the bleak early 2000s attempts to revive Superman has actually made it into the upcoming Man of Steel. But is it such a bad idea? Possible spoilers will follow. Read the rest of this entry »

‘Star Trek: The Middle School Musical’ Is Something We All Really Need

Written by Stacy Lambe / 05.20.13

You know, there’s really been something missing from the reboot of the Star Trek series: song and dance. Why J. J. Abrams didn’t consider turning the series into a musical is beyond me. Luckily, the internet imagined what a middle school production of Star Trek would look like. And based on the music alone, it’s something that needs to become a standard in schools across America, like, stat!

Peter Dinklage Is On A Plane And Professor X Is A Dirty Hippie In ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’

Written by RoboPanda / 05.20.13

Bryan Singer has been tweeting several pictures of castmembers in X-Men: Days of Future Past such as the picture above of Peter Dinklage. He’s starring as “the main antagonist” who hasn’t been named yet but we have our theories. We referenced these tweets when we posted some extra casual pictures of Hugh Jackman on set of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, but we haven’t collected these tweeted photos in one place. It’s time to rectify that.

5 Games You Want Coming Out This Week (May 20th – 26th)

Written by Nathan Birch / 05.20.13

Keeping track video game releases isn’t as easy as it once was — the volume of games released each week is constantly expanding, and they’re spread over a mind-boggling array of platforms (consoles, PC, Mac, handhelds and mobile).

Well, I’m here to make things a little easier on you. Every week I’ll rattle off five games I think you should check out. These articles are not meant to be comprehensive lists of everything coming out that week — think of them as a nice rounded tasting menu. Each week I’ll try to highlight several games from different corners of the gaming landscape (handhelds, consoles, indie, PC, you name it) then finish up with a “Pick of the Week”.
