This F**king Guy: J.K. Simmons

Every couple of weeks a Redditor subs a photo or a collage of photos of a beloved/unsung actor and simply titles the entry, "This F*cking Guy" (see also: "This. F*cking. Guy" & "This Guy. This F*cking Guy."). From there commenters engage in the sort of unfiltered geekery that is only acceptable on the internet, debating the actor in question's best under-the-radar work and actively trying to one-up each other's knowledge of things obscure and insignificant .

I'm not sure what it says about me that I really enjoy it when this happens, but I do. I think it has something to do with the mixture of celebrating talented people and a well timed f-bomb. Previously Timothy Olyphant and Stephen Root have gotten the "This F*cking Guy" treatment and I was excited to see the same thing happen for J.K. Simmons this morning.

Most of us began to appreciate Simmons as vehement racist Vernon Schillinger on Oz, and then we were all like, "Holy sh*t, Schillinger is versatile" when he took a turn as J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man, and it's been, "Love that guy" in all the film and television he's been improving with his presence since. Stuff like...
