I like to think of this week as the “first day of school” of television weeks. The majority of our favorite network shows return accompanied by new shows anxiously awaiting for us to embrace or reject them. The ones we don’t like will be forced to transfer or become a goth kid or whatever it is they do these days.
We aren’t shy with our love for Community around here and if I was in a hypothetical situation where I was sadistically only allowed to choose one season premiere to watch this week I’d beg forgiveness from the cast and crew of Parks & Rec and choose Community. Not only is the show I-think-a-little-pee-just-came-out funny but it’s also so GD ambitious it makes me want to be a better man.
And since Donald Glover’s Troy Barnes is arguably my favorite character who doesn’t possess jiggly lady parts, and Donald Glover’s alter ego, Childish Gambino, just signed a money record deal, and Troyisms never fail to slay me, this week’s “Best of #” was a no-brainer. I feel pretty confident is saying this collection is going to give Community fans the weirdest boner.
