Off the heels of our delightful conversation with Executive Producer Matt Thompson last week, today we welcome Producer Casey Willis (this guy) to the party for tonight’s episode, “Drift Problem,” which guest stars the one and only George Takei.
Casey is a long-time colleague of Matt and Adam (Reed), the show’s creator. He was an illustrator on Sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo, and voiced several characters on Dingo — most notably the hobbit LARPer. He was also a writer on the short-lived Xtacles. Most importantly though, Casey wrote and performed the lyrics to Archer’s ringtone, Mulatto Butts!

Casey, would you say there’s been one weak episode since the beginning? Anyone at all that seemed too tame? I love them all, I don’t listen to music, I have Archer on as my background noise. And is it true about Bryan Cranston?

I can’t think of one off the top of my head. One thing I can say is while we are working on and episode, they feel so long… because we are concentrating on every aspect. But when I see the episodes on TV, I can’t believe how fast they go by.
What about Bryan Cranston? That he is in the final two episodes of the season? Yes, that is true.
Yah man! Bryan has such a phenomenal range I think it should be fantastic. Well, I am ready to come to Atlanta and stalk the parking lot for a writing job! hahaha, I’ve never been a fan of any show they way I am for Archer.
