For the record, I wanted to see 21 Jump Street even before I read the Grierson & Leitch write-up. I'm pretty good at judging a movie by its trailer, and I smelt funny. Maybe not mind-blowingly ambitious funny, but good times funny nonetheless. I mean, the too-old-for-high-school jokes alone, amirite?
But I don't want that to cloud the fact that I love me some C-Tates lulz. Sure, by perfectly casting him Jonah Hill, Steven Soderbergh could possibly reshape how we think about the guy, but he'll always be the dude who headlined Step Up 2: The Streets. Never forget.
Not terribly surprisingly, there's a lot of fan appreciation out there for the guy's, um, lesser acting work. You know, pretty much anything he's done prior to this Friday. I still can't quite my head around the idea that GIF-making wizards out there have taken the time to non-ironically immortalize some of Tatum's thespian efforts. So much so I have to share.
I'll leave it up to you guys to name the movie...

The Vow is the funniest movie I’ve seen this year.
She didn’t remember him!
Item #11 looks like he’s being stalked by homeless hipster guy.
He headlined Step Up. Just a brief appearance in “The Streets” bro!
Very excited to have made that mistake.
#8 made me remember the movie She’s the man. I don’t care what anyone says that movie was awesome.
After giggling at these GIFs “She’s the Man” has a spot in my Netflix queue for an ironic watch somewhere in the foreseeable future.
I’m glad I watch so few movies of this shitty a caliber that I still think of him as “That kid from A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints.” Which, by the way, he was kinda fucking awesome in.
Nice pull.
I CAN’T TAKE IT. DOES SHE GET HER MEMORY BACK? DO THEY FALL BACK IN LOVE? WILL THE PRETTY WHITE PEOPLE BE OK? I NEED ANSWERS DAMNIT!
