Here’s how Casey Neistat, one of our favorite filmmakers on the web, described his latest project…
Nike asked me to make a movie about what it means to #MakeItCount. Instead of making their movie I spent the entire budget traveling around the world with my friend Max. We’d keep going until the money ran out. It took ten days.
The result is the four minute film above. It’s pretty great and highly likely to inspire envy. Enjoy.

I like the idea of “oh we just took nike’s money and blew it on a trip around the world!” but it’s not like the video they made isn’t exactly the type of thing that embodies #makeitcount.
So while I’m insanely jealous they got to fly around the world for 10 days on someone else’s dime, I don’t buy into the idea that they did anything contrary to what their job for Nike was in the first place.
Common sense would suggest that a much better use of his time (and money) would have been to spend ten days in any one of those amazing places rather than a few hours in all of them. Not to mention how many of those days must’ve been spent on airplanes. Be a traveller, not a tourist.
