Have you seen Prometheus yet? I did last night, and I agree with something Film Drunk maven Vince wrote in the comments of his great review: “I don’t know. It was totally full of plot holes and didn’t come together, and I still had an enjoyable experience.” It was a smart-looking and -sounding movie that was actually pretty dumb if you take it apart. WHY DIDN’T THEY RUN TO THE RIGHT??? But I still had a good time, despite myself.
Anyway, something about the film bothered famed Wu-Tang fan Neil deGrasse Tyson, too:

This isn’t quite as good as Neil calling out Titanic for its inaccurate star patterns or “The Daily Show” for having the Earth spinning the wrong way in the opening credits, but I do appreciate the METAPHOR ALERT of calling out a movie for not going as far as it should have. One other thing bugged me, too:

WHY ARE WE STILL USING WINDOWS IN THE FUTURE???

That guy is starting to get annoying. I think he was a little too busy trying to be a know-it-all to realize that her character was a rep for the company, not a scientist. When you say the Windows thing bothered you, do you mean after you found that image on Reddit?
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER I agree instead of running straight , umm how about run to the right or left. WTF youre a freaking scientist and want to watch a ship fall on you? And another thing wouldnt it have been better if the damn egg layer would have been umm I dont know gotten into one of the other Arcitechs pods.
I don’t care about minor gaffes in things.
I actually find the Titanic/Star Chart thing hysterical. He found a flaw in the film that no one on Earth could possibly care about… except for James Cameron. I *knew* he’d have to change it. No way in heck a guy like this would leave a flaw like that in when he knew he could change it.
