If Chick-Fil-A chief Dan Cathy thought the controversy surrounding his bigoted stance on gay marriage would begin to fade right about now, well, he was dead wrong. Conversely, the whole thing seems to be just gaining more and more momentum as the controversy appears to be getting more and more airtime on the late night shows. It’s borderline relentless at this point.
For instance: last night Conan unveiled a new muppet-y mascot for the company — “Chaz The Intolerant Chick-Fil-A Chicken.” Perfect.

Genius. He’s pushing the agenda of the church and the Chic-Fil-A Menu.
‘bigoted stance’?
Do you even know what bigot means? All he said was that he doesn’t support gay marriage. Its not like people either support gay marriage or are bigots. But sure, make him out to be Hitler because his personal opinions differ from your own
So it’s not bigoted to deny equal legal rights for some Americans based on their gender?
The man didnt come out and say he doesnt like gay people, the man came out and said that, according to his religion, he doesnt believe that gay people should be allowed to get married. Are you saying that this man’s religion is wrong, and therefore beign biggoted towards his religion? And isn’t freedom of religion one of the major things that people push for? Just because it has become cool lately to badmouth anyone that says anything that doesnt support gay marrage, doesnt mean you should succumb to peer pressure and deny your own beliefs. I have nothing against gay people, but i also believe what i believe. that doesnt make me a biggot, that makes me someone who believes in my religion. If your religion says gay people get to marry, then go for it, but mine doesnt. We have nothing against you, why do you have to get all pissy with us?
He is free to feel however he likes. He is on record as donating a lot of money to organizations that try to take his opinions on gay marriage, which he is entotled to, and force them into laws.
That’s why people are boycotting the restaurant, not because he’s Christian, but because he will use the profits to fund groups whose views do not align with their own.
And yes, it is bigoted to say two people can not be legally married because of your religious beliefs.
If the Church doesn’t want to recognize gay mariage, that’s fine. I will line up support their right to it.
But keep that shit out of my government.
Are you saying that this man’s religion is wrong, and therefore beign biggoted towards his religion?
False equivalency. Religious freedom does not give you the freedom to infringe on other people’s freedom.
We have nothing against you, why do you have to get all pissy with us?
Denying me equal rights is very, very much against me. That’s why we defend ourselves by, at the very least, getting all pissy with you.
