Rowling released her first "adult" novel today, The Casual Vacancy, and although it's not getting spectacular reviews, it's probably still worth a read, if only because the woman who coined the phrase "hinkypunk" is now swearing a lot.

Speaking of adult things: Watson's first major post-Harry Potter film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, based on the novel of the same name, expands into more theaters after last week's limited release.
