Early this morning writer Jenelle Riley tweeted out the photo above with the following message: “Nick Offerman gave me permission to post this. Randomly, this was backstage at our q&a for a movie about alcoholism.”
And I’ll be damned if these two — Guinness and Ron Swanson — don’t go together like peas and carrots or something. If Nick Offerman doesn’t get a Guinness endorsement deal out of this I’m gonna be pissed. Hell, just looking at this pic makes me long for a Guinness right now as my breakfast.
Now excuse me as I call around to find an Irish pub that’s already open.

Pfff, that CAN’T be a pint. It’s too big.
That is what Ron Swanson calls “an aperitif.”
“And I’ll be damned if these two — Guinness and Ron Swanson — don’t go together like peas and carrots”
I think what you meant was go together like bacon and eggs.
I also would’ve accepted “like turf and turf”
“Yes, I have ordered a glass of Guinness the same size and weight as myself. I have done this because I am an American.”
That’s the most American thing I’ve ever seen…. No you mean Guinness WAS an Irish beer. By appearing in a photo with Ron Swanson it has been made officially part of Americana
