The Most Badass Images From Felix Baumgartner’s Badass Space Dive

U-S-A U-S-A, I mean, A-U-S-T-R-I-A A-U-S-T-R-I-A. If you were one of the record-breaking number of people on YouTube in the past hour, you saw skydiver Felix Baumgartner jump from a balloon 24 miles over the Earth, and land on his feet. It. Was. Awesome. I’m pretty sure the world gained an extra three million pounds from people anxious-eating while watching the Red Bull Stratos rise and Felix (safely) fall. According to BBC:

Austrian Felix Baumgartner has broken the record for the highest ever skydive by jumping out of a balloon 128,000ft (39km) above New Mexico.
The 43-year-old was hoping also to break the sound barrier during his descent – although that mark awaits confirmation. ( )

Revisit Felix’s YEAH SCIENCE feat (which all too fittingly went down in New Mexico) with some of the most badass images we saw on the live cam.

OK. That one’s not from the webcam, but HOLY CRAP. ( )
