For it’s Men of the Year issue, GQ got the cast of Parks & Rec together for a Hollywood Squares photoshoot.
“I think the thing that makes our cast so good,” says co-creator Mike Schur, “is they all have very different points of view comedically. There are the improvisers, Amy Poehler and Aubrey Plaza, and then Aziz Ansari is a stand-up, and then Chris Pratt is this lumbering comedy Great Dane. Everyone has their own superpower.”
All that’s missing from this pic is Tom Bergeron. And maybe Charles Nelson Reilly. I actually kind of miss Hollywood Squares.

I didn’t know Aubrey Plaza was an improviser.
They just put the whip cream can in her square, no instruction.
“Give Plaza a whip cream can and have her show her legs!”
The photographer on this shoot is a dream maker.
If this picture isn’t available as a poster on my wall in the next 6 months, I will have lost faith in the universe.
…and a single tear rolls down Bruce Vilanch’s cheek as something Hollywood Squares-related brings joy to peoples’ lives for the first time in 15 years
They probably had to fight off Whoopie, Charles Nelson Reily, and Vilanch with a stick… or atleast distract em with craft services until the photo was done.
Man, if they could get good people to go on it, Hollywood Squares could make a serious comeback.
Hip-Hop Squares is filling that whole gloriously.
Paul Lynde was the “funny, eccentric bachelor” on Hollywood Squares. Charles Nelson Reilly was the “funny, eccentric bachelor” on Match Game.
