Today began with the xx’s cover of a Christmas song by Wham!, and it ends in equally WTF (and exclamation-heavy) fashion with Big Boi/Daddy Fat Sax/General Patton/Sir Lucious L. Leftfoot/The Son of Chico Dusty/Sgt. Slaughter’s reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! for Vice.
Again, this is Big Boi, of Outkast fame, with a Dr. Seuss book. One more time: this is a video of the man who gave us “B.O.B,” “Ova da Wudz,” “The Way You Move,” and “Shutterbugg” reciting lines about Whoville and Cindy Lou Who and a dog with reindeer ears. Just wanted to make sure you guys understand.

Side note: when are we gonna see a Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors review? I liked it from the get go, and it grows on me more with each listen. I can count only one dud (Shoes for Running). It’s up there with Sir Lucious for me. Considering just how ballsy of an experiment this was, it’s remarkable it works at all, let alone as well as it does. Oh, and “Descending” is fucking sublime.
