Steve Buscemi is our generation's Peter Lorre, a weird little bat of a man who you can't not like. The current Boardwalk Empire star, who celebrates his 54th birthday today (with a Golden Globe nomination, no less), got his big break in 1986's Parting Glances, a comedy-drama about AIDS that shows Buscemi suavely removing his sunglasses on the film's poster.
He's become one of America's most bizarrely recognizable actors in similar WTF roles throughout his career, including the combustible Mr. Pink in Reservoir Dogs, woodchipper victim Carl Showalter in Fargo, and doll-loving serial killer "Cyrus the Virus" in Con Air. Because he's fantastic at playing creepy, second only to Philip Seymour Hoffman, is it any wonder his characters in Adam Sandler's movies have names like "Crazy Eyes" and "Homeless Guy."
To celebrate Buscemi's birthday, we've put together a set of his creepiest GIFs. You'll notice that there aren't any from Reservoir or Boardwalk, but that's because unlike Danny McGrath in Billy Madison, you don't get the sense that Mr. Pink or Nucky would skin your face and wear it as a mask.

Was it just me or did Steve Buscemi look increasingly uncomfortable/pissed off before he introduced The Who last night on that 121212 thing? Its like he didnt appreciate all the drunken firefighters standing around him heckling him.
yeah, that was awkward. But Steve was a firefighter, he couldn’t have been TOO shocked!
Can’t believe i slept through yesterday lol
Holy shit, that was awkward. “Yeah, fuck it, you can cram in here too. Fuck, sure, why not?”
Nothing from Trees Lounge? pshhht.
YOUR OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT!!!
Buscemi was Garland Greene in Con-Air. Carry on.
Exactly! Malkovich was Cyrus the virus!
I dont think he’s second to Hoffmann in the creepy dept. Buscemi is more of a ‘dead guy in his crawl space’ creepy, and Hoffmann is more of a ‘crazy sex criminal with dead kids in his crawl space’ creepy. Two vastly different Creeps who are tops in their respective categories.
Thank you for mentioning Airheads. I love that movie.
