Throwing your hard-earned money in the air for women who are only pretending to like you is one of the emptiest actions a human being can ever physically perform (or so I've heard). Enter: Canadian android rapper Drake, who over the weekend made it rain in a Charlotte, North Carolina strip club with $50,000 in $1 bills he brought in a cardboard box.
Some American hero, via Cord Jefferson, rounded up the photos from Drake's excursion, and yeesh, rain-making (which may become a "taxable expense") is even sadder when it's documented in flipbook fashion. Wow… This is one of the few times I feel bad for someone “successful”. He may act tough, throwing away 50k posing a I-don’t-give-a-fuck-look, but this is an act that shows an immense emptiness, both intellectual and social. From all the nice and/or good things he could have done with it, he chose to waste it on this. I’m not even saying he should have donated it to charity -even though it would have been nice- I wouldn’t mind if he had bought a new car, even though he already has 14 of them. But this just shows he’s an empty poser. How would you even come up with something like this?
I may not have the money to throw away $50.000, but I sure as hell know I’m a lot happier than Drake is.
