I’d like to take a moment to salute whoever is running the Charmin toilet paper Twitter feed. It’s hard to make a brand stand out on social media these days. The competition is fierce, and how do you get people to follow a brand of toilet paper on Twitter in the first place? By tweeting constantly about pooping, that’s how!
Seriously, encouraging Twitter users to “#tweetfromtheseat” — essentially live-tweeting their bowel movements — is some next level shit. The social media manager for Charmin is obviously a mad scatological genius.
And it’s not just Twitter. Their Facebook feed — which touts “the playful side of TP” — is something to behold as well…
They’ve come a long way from the “Don’t Squeeze the Charmin” days of Mr. Whipple, that’s for sure.
