JID And Anycia’s ‘Sun’ Video Is A Somber Ghetto Fairy Tale
JID and fellow ATLien Anycia star in a ghetto fairy tale in the video for "Sun," from JID's new album, God Does Like Ugly. The video opens similarly to The Princess Bride with a woman reading a fairy tale to her young children. However, she's surprised by the book they request, which opens to reveal a modern tour of the Atlanta streets JID and Anycia grew up on. The two rappers display some solid chemistry, with JID's hyperactive delivery bouncing nicely off of Anycia's laconic flow, and both finding fascinating pockets in the slinky beat from Christo, Childish Major, and…
Whitney Teams With Madison Cunningham For ‘Evangeline,’ Their New Album’s Only Collab
Whitney's next few months are about to be busy. The duo has a new album, Small Talk, out this week, and after the release, they'll presumably be getting ready for their world tour that kicks off in February 2026. Ahead of all that, though, they've shared "Evangeline," a new song and the album's only collaboration (with Madison Cunningham). The band's Julien Ehrlich says of the song: "The most crucial moment of writing 'Evangeline' came when, after weeks of failed experiments, we leaned into the theatricality of the chorus. Max put midi timpanis and string pads underneath the vocals and the…
‘Scream 7’: Everything To Know About The Latest In The Iconic Horror Franchise
Three decades later and the Scream franchise is still going. There were a couple decade-long breaks in the mix, but regardless, we have a new one, Scream 7, on the way (after some bumps in the road) and it'll be the third film in four years. In a sense, the series is going back to its roots here: Kevin Williamson is directing, and while it's his first time leading a Scream film, he's written or co-written a bunch of the movies, including the first two. Speaking of OG's, David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and Matthew Lillard are all back…
Kehlani’s ‘Folded’ Efforts Pay Off With The Singer’s First-Ever Hot 100 Top Ten Appearance
Kehlani's new single "Folded" was already one of the singer's most successful songs when they released the Homage Pack remix EP in late October. Thanks to Kehlani's commitment to seeing the song's release cycle all the way through, though, the Bay Area singer has their first-ever Billboard Hot 100 top ten appearance. Originally released in June, followed by the "(Un)folded" remix in July, and powered by a range of remixes, cover versions, and fan-made videos on social media, "Folded" has reached the No. 7 spot on the latest chart update, after a total of 20 weeks. It last landed at…
Snocaps Will Briefly Tour In December And Then ‘Put The Project On Ice For The Foreseeable Future’
Fans remember that back in the day, Allison and Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) were in the band P.S. Eliot together. They've since gone off to do other things, but they just reunited with a surprise new band, Snocaps, and a surprise new self-titled debut album, which is out now. It was teased at the time that tour dates would be announced, and now, they have. It's a quick run in early December, with two nights each at Chicago's Thalia Hall, Los Angeles' Teragram Ballroom, and New York's Bowery Ballroom. Pre-sale tickets go on sale on November 5 at 10 a.m. local…

Cat Power Will Celebrate 20 Years Of ‘The Greatest’ With ‘Redux’ Ahead Of An Anniversary Tour
At the time in 2006, The Greatest, Cat Power's seventh album, was the biggest LP of her career. It remains a staple of her discography as it turns 20 years old next year. Cat Power is set to celebrate the milestone next year in a couple different ways. One is Redux, a three-song EP recorded with her touring band, Dirty Delta Blues. It's mostly covers here, as the recordings included are new versions of James Brown's "Try Me" and Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U," as well as Cat Power's own "Could We." Second, there's a 20th anniversary North American tour…
Fred Again..’s ‘Talk Of The Town’ Is The Latest Of His Many New ‘USB’ Songs
Fred Again.. is a machine as he's in the midst of touring the world and gradually unveiling his new batch of USB songs. It feels like there's a new track from him every day, so unsurprisingly, here's another fresh one, the just-released "Talk Of The Town." For this one, Fred teamed up with Sammy Virji and Reggie. It apparently came together very quickly: On Instagram, Fred wrote of the song: "some songs i work on take months or even years for me to feel happy with them, this is one of those ones that was about 27 minutes. basically 3…
The Neighbourhood Will Embark On The Cleverly Named ‘The Wourld Tour’ In 2026
The Neighbourhood haven't released a new album since 2020's Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones. That changes in a couple weeks, though, when the band is set to share (((((ultraSOUND))))). They'll be going the whole nine yards with promo, too, as today (November 3), they announced they're going on tour in support of the project. The run of dates will keep the band in North America from late March to mid-April, then they'll do some European dates in May, then Asia and Australia in June, and finally, back to North America in September and October. For tickets, an artist pre-sale begins…
The Marías’ María Zardoya Is Going On Her First Not For Radio Solo Tour In 2026
It's been nearly a month now since María Zardoya, of The Marías, shared her first solo album, Melt, as Not For Radio. Last week, she shared her first solo video, for "Swan." Now, here's another first: Today (November 3), she announced a run of solo tour dates. The tour is dubbed Not For Radio Presents: Winter In The Garden. The tour hits a handful of North American theaters, in Oakland, Chicago, Brooklyn, San Antonio, and Los Angeles. There's a pre-sale, for which fans can register here. The general on-sale starts November 7 at 10 a.m. local time. In a recent…
Jay Som Drops A Lovely Animated Video For Her Hayley Williams Collab ‘Past Lives’
Jay Som's (Melina Duterte) new album Belong, her first in a few years, is here now. Among the highlights, both in terms of the song itself and how jazzed Duterte is about it, is the Hayley Williams collaboration "Past Lives." The song and album have both been out for a little while now, but today (November 3) brings a new video. It's a cool visual, too. The animated video is presented in an impressionist sort of style and it's beautiful throughout. Studio Sparks (Cristiana Figueiredo & Lucas Moreira), who directed the video, explain in a statement: "We wanted the animation…
will.i.am And Taboo Declare ‘We LA’ In The Video For Their New Dodgers Anthem
As I write this post, tens of thousands of residents of the city of Los Angeles are descending on the city's downtown to prepare for the Los Angeles Dodgers' championship parade after the team became the first in 25 years to win back-to-back Major League Baseball championships. Notable Angelenos will.i.am and Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas simulate just what that raucous crowd will look like in the music video for their new Dodgers anthem, "We LA." The video finds will and Taboo performing in real locations around East LA, as well as simulating performances at locations such as Dodger…
Oklou Will Use Her 2026 Coachella Performance To Launch A North American Tour
Oklou's debut album, Choke Enough, dropped earlier this year. Even since then, it remains one of 2025's best-received new albums. It created enough buzz to land Oklou a performance slot at Coachella in 2026, and Oklou plans to make good use of that visibility: Today (November 3), Oklou announced a North American tour that will start immediately after Coachella this coming April. This will follow a previously announced run of UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand shows set for late this year and early next year. An artist pre-sale for tickets starts November 5 at 10 a.m. local time and…
David Byrne, Lewis Capaldi, And Teddy Swims Are Headlining The Milestone 2026 Latitude Festival
Festival season isn't necessarily at the forefront during this time of year, but it's never too early to start thinking about it. Today (November 3), Suffolk, UK's Latitude Festival announced its 2026 lineup. Set to take Henham Park from July 23 to 26 are headliners David Byrne, Lewis Capaldi, and Teddy Swims. The lineup also includes The Flaming Lips, The Last Dinner Party, Self Esteem, Tom Grennan, Wet Leg, Alex James' Britpop Classical, Alice Phoebe Lou, Billy Ocean, Dry Cleaning, English Teacher, Kevin Morby, Vanessa Carlton, Florence Road, Getdown Services, Just Mustard, Keo, and Westside Cowboy. Paul McCartney Has A New Perspective On His Old Death Hoax: ‘In So Many Ways, I Was Dead’
Paul McCartney is the subject of perhaps the most famous hoax in music history: Supposedly, the Beatle died back in the 1960s and was replaced by an imposter. McCartney has heard all about this, of course, and over the years, he has gained a fresh perspective on the situation. McCartney discusses it in a new piece for The Guardian published over the weekend. It starts, "The strangest rumour started floating around just as the Beatles were breaking up -- that I was dead. We had heard it long before, but suddenly, in that autumn of 1969, stirred up by a…
Justin Bieber Doesn’t Want To Tour Right Now: ‘Sounds Super Daunting’
In case you missed it, Justin Bieber is a Twitch streamer now. During a Halloween broadcast this past weekend, he offered some insight into what his mindset around touring is like at the moment: He doesn't seem jazzed about the idea, but he would still like to perform in a limited capacity. Bieber said (here's a clip): "I think just because I've been touring for so long, just even the idea of touring at this point in my life sounds super daunting. I think I always start out really loving it, and then it always gets to a point where…
SNX: This Week’s Best Sneakers, Featuring The Jordan 4 Cozy Girl, Kobe 9 Protro, And More
Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers to hit the internet. Is there a holiday that the big sneaker brands love more than Halloween? We don’t think so. Every year around this time sneakerheads are hit with the most gimmicky sneakers imaginable but this year, we’ve done our best to keep them out of SNX. Now granted, I said we’ve tried our best, that doesn’t mean there aren’t a couple of Halloween-themed kicks on our list this week, but trust us, they’re worth both worth the gimmick. Outside holiday-themed sneakers, we have a new collaboration between…
Kendrick Lamar And Clipse Are Locks For Best Rap Album Grammy Nominations
The Grammy nominations are nearly upon us, and in honor of that, as Uproxx's resident rap expert, it seems that it makes the most sense for me to talk about the Best Rap Album category. Here's the thing: there's almost no suspense to parse here; Kendrick Lamar and Clipse are locks for Best Rap Album Grammy nominations. Not only that, but the award will be more or less a two-horse race between them, all apologies to whatever other artists have the misfortune to get tossed into that gladiator fight. I thought about doing a song-by-song breakdown or some other such…
Offset Is ‘Haunted By Fame’ On His Surprise Spooky Season Mixtape
Offset is getting all the way into the spooky season with a brand-new mixtape. Today, he released Haunted By Fame, just two months after his new album, Kiari. While that album contained soulful features from the likes of artists such as John Legend and JID, this tape is much more on-theme with the holiday, and employs colorful characters like YoungBoy Never Broke Again, NoCap, and Lil Dump (I promise I did not make that name up, it's on the tracklist). The project is accompanied by a music video for the focus track, "Ya Digg," which you can watch up top.…
From Sound Baths To DJ Sets: 5 Retreats Redefining Wellness With Music
Sweating in a sauna to a live DJ set. Drifting along a rooftop pool during a full moon floating party. Enjoying a “sacred nap” soundtracked by binaural beats. The next era of wellness travel is following a very different tempo – literally. Forget silent meditations and cucumber water, some of the world’s most cutting-edge luxury retreats are crafting immersive experiences designed to pulse, vibrate, and move their guests. They’re swapping clichés for gong baths, vibroacoustic therapy, and ecstatic forest dances, blending indulgence, escapism, and a higher-frequency form of self-care. And it turns out, there’s science behind the spectacle. Music has…
Noname Is Out To Get Hers In The Whimisical ‘Hundred Acres’ Video
"Hundred Acres" may have been the name of the woods behind Christopher Robin's house where he played with Pooh and the gang, but Noname has a decidedly less whimsical theme in mind for her comeback single. The poetic Chicago rapper is thinking more "40 acres and..." in her first new song since 2023's Sundial, focusing on getting hers. "I know somebody better give me my cheese," she intones. "Or I'ma have to get mine from these streets / I gotta look out for me." Funnily enough, I heard the first inklings of what this song would be last year while…
Julia Wolf Surprises With ‘2MUCHPRESSURE,’ A New Remix EP Made With 2DUMB
Julia Wolf released a new album, Pressure, earlier this year, but she's not done with the project yet: Out of nowhere today (October 31), Wolf surprise-released 2MUCHPRESSURE, a new remix EP, led by producer duo 2DUMB, that re-works seven songs from the original album. In a statement, Wolf says of the EP, "When I first heard the remix 2DUMB did on tiktok, I immediately knew I needed them to make more remixes! And to be able to get two of my favorite artists BBY GOYARD and cr1tter on was an even better bonus!” She previously said of the original album,…
Wale Is Fed Up With The Nightlife On ‘City On Fire’ Featuring Odeal
Wale's new album, Everything Is A Lot., is just a few weeks from release, and the DMV repper has one final single to get fans hype for the drop. "City On Fire" features British-Nigerian singer-songwriter Odeal, and treads familiar territory for longtime Wale fans. It's got a swinging, mellow beat with gently plucked guitars, compelling bass, and some nice percussion work. Lyrically, Wale questions a paramour about her bad habits and suspect friends. It certainly sounds like he's over the club scene, between this song, "Blanco," and "Mirroronnabenz" with BNYX. You can't blame him, because he's had a pretty rough…
Fred Again..’s ‘USB’ Series Continues With ‘Hardstyle 2,’ With Kettama And Shady Nasty
Fred Again.. is in the midst of a moment. Specifically, Fred is rolling out a bunch of songs from his ever-evolving USB project, one song per week. The latest arrives today: "Hardstyle 2," alongside Kettama and Shady Nasty. The series has also included complementary live shows, which get announced as the project goes, shortly before they happen. The next one is on November 1, at RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin with EMA, Caolan Ryan, and Fontaines DC DJs. Meanwhile, Fred recently made a post talking about how performing and touring has been lately, saying: "i dont want this to sound in…
