A Dentist In Canada Wants To Clone John Lennon Using One Of His Decaying Teeth

For anyone hoping to purchase the URL JohnLennonTooth.com, or record “Love Me Tooth,” sorry, you’re too late. Consequence of Sound reports that Canadian dentist Michael Zuk recently put all the teeth he’s pulled over the years under his pillow for the Tooth Fairy (and by “pillow,” I mean sold crack, and by “Tooth Fairy,” I mean sold said crack to the ironically named Toothless Jimbo in the abandoned porno factory) to gather enough funds to purchase one of John Lennon’s prized molars. He won the auction, for $31,200. It gets weirder.

Zuk recently sent the deteriorated dental heirloom to a US laboratory to attempt to extract and sequence Lennon’s genetic information. “I am nervous and excited at the possibility that we will be able to fully sequence John Lennon’s DNA, very soon I hope,” Zuk said in a press release. “With researchers working on ways to clone mammoths, the same technology certainly could make human cloning a reality.

“To potentially say I had a small part in bringing back one of rock’s greatest stars would be mind-blowing.” (Via)

And with all those blown minds just lying there on the street, Zuk could steal some more teeth, visit with Toothless Jimbo’s kid Toothfull Ted (R.I.P. Toothless Jimbo), and buy Ringo’s cavity fillings. The perfect crime.
