Jon Hamm And His New Mustache Will Guest Star On ‘Childrens Hospital’

EVERYBODY STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING I HAVE IMPORTANT TELEVISION NEWS: Jon Hamm has a mustache.

Why does Jon Hamm have a mustache, you ask? Because the Mad Men star and five-time Handsome Devil Award winner will guest star on the upcoming season of Childrens Hospital as the institution’s founder, Arthur Childrens, in an episode that features a number of flashbacks to the 1930s. According to EW, the episode will focus on attempts by the staff to uncover the identity of the hospital’s PA announcer, voiced by Arrested Development’s Michael Cera. To be very clear, this is all excellent news. Childrens Hospital is great, Jon Hamm is great, and mustaches are great. The whole thing gets an A+ and a rocketship sticker.

One small point before I go: How cool is Jon Hamm’s career right now? In his day job, he stars as a hyper-intense, smooth, brooding mystery man on one of the best televised dramas of the past 10-15 years, then when he gets a break from that he goes around moonlighting on critically acclaimed, goofy comedies like 30 Rock and Childrens Hospital. And to top it all off he’s entered into the exclusive club of celebrities who are invited to host Saturday Night Live every year, joining people like Alec Baldwin and Justin Timberlake. Over the past five or so years he’s managed to do a little of everything, and all of it well.

The point I’m getting at here is this: There’s like a 70-80% chance he sold his soul to the devil.
