Celebrity Google+ Circles And Other Assorted Attempts At Google+ Comedy

I spent about thirty minutes on my Google+ account last week, getting things tidied up after being bombarded by emails from people I don’t know, and then I went on living my life and haven’t been back since. I plan to, definitely, and it seems pretty cool, but I think we can all agree the jury is still out. Another thing the jury is still out on is the best way to poke internet fun at Google+.
After the launch in June a bunch of lame images, mostly Google vs. Facebook GIFs and hipster/scumbag meme derivatives, sprouted up and did their darndest to go viral, but Google+ was so new and lacked the necessary collective experience. Over the last couple weeks, as people are becoming more familiar with Circles, the new trend is to create celebrity, fictional, historical, or “honest” Circles. They’re hit or miss but show the most promise.
Bite.ca just released “Celebrity Google+ Circles” like the Jay-Z one above. They’re OK, and in my opinion made infinitely better by photoshop additions of awkward hugs with Chris Martin. The enlargeable Jay-Z, Affleck, and Lohan versions are in the slideshow along with all the other attempts at Circles comedy I could fine (“Friend Zone” FTW). My nephew calls boobs “circles”. Pretty sure that’s a goldmine if I can figure out how to tap it.
