Being a single mom can be a pretty tough time. I should know, I just watched a trailer for Tyler Perry’s new movie that is all about being a single mom, and now I feel like I’m an expert on the entire situation. In Single Moms Club, several women raising kids on their own are brought together by an act of vandalism at the school that their children attend, and they conveniently realize together that they don’t need a man in their lives, because now they have each other.
Except, don’t be silly, they do need men, which is why they’re always looking for Mr. Right, but how does a woman break it to a new boyfriend that she already has a burden from another marriage? Tyler Perry knows, and he’s going to tell all of us how to do it on March 14.
If Perry taught me anything in last year’s Temptation, it’s that if any of the female characters in this movie cheated on their husbands by being raped on a private jet, then they won’t find happiness, because they have HIV and deserve it.
