Actually, you’re wrong about Darth Vader. He was thought to be the chosen one, but in fact it turned out to be Luke. You need to get your facts straight and do better research. Find real NAMES, not titles.
Actually Marcus, if you knew your Star Wars, you would know that Anakin/Vader was the Chosen One. He did destroy the Sith, it just took longer than everyone thought it should. He killed the Emperor and efficiently got rid of the Sith. Now, do YOUR research.
Diana is absolutely positively 100% correctomatic. Anakin was the chosen one from the beginning to the end. Sorry Marcus (aka smartass), but that’s a fact.
Yup, they said Anakin would be the chosen one to bring balance to the force, which he did. After the emperor and Darth died, there were no more sith or jedi really. Luke (while being much more on the light side than dark) doesn’t fit perfectly into either side of the force.

=cough= As an old, female, geek-nerd speaking, Anakin -was- the Chosen One. The prophecy was that he would “bring balance to the Force”. At the end of Episode Three, he had done that (by the assumption of the movie). Where there had been 2 Sith and countless (or at least not fully counted) Jedi, there were now 2 Sith (Vader/Sidious), and 2 Jedi (Kenobi/Yoda).
Which of course just provides more ammo for assuming either Lucas or his characters are completely stupid. What the hell did Sam Jackson think “balance to the force” meant when they were sitting on thousands of Jedi to oppose perhaps 2 Sith masters?
“…full of characters with names that never existed outside of the Star Wars universe.” Like “Klaatu?” Klaatu is the name of the male humanoid protagonist in “The Day The Earth Stood Still.” Not just the remake with Keanu Reeves in the role, but Michael Rennie in the 1951 original. Maybe it’s an homage or maybe it’s, gasp, a blatant rip-off. But it’s a name that existed outside the SW universe for a long time before ROTJ. Klaatu barada nikto!
