Once in awhile we like to share pictures of geeky hand-painted sneakers here, but today's find may be the best collection yet. The creative team of Art Narin and Koi Thitiporn make custom-painted shoes and accessories at their What's Shop in Bangkok, Thailand. I'm not sure which of these were made by him and which were made by her, but it doesn't really matter 'cause they're all ridiculously awesome.
We especially liked their take on characters from Batman and The Avengers. Although we have no doubt that, if we bought a pair and wore them outside, we'd immediately step into a puddle full of bleach. Who just leaves a puddle of bleach in the street like that? This is why we can't have nice things.

Wow! I’m a HUGE fan of this site, but this is completely ripped off of my site. I posted this same gallery of sneakers on July 30th and would really appreciate some credit.

A few points: first of all, both articles use images from the same Tumblr. Second, our article uses quite a few different images from yours and doesn’t copy your text. Third, you don’t exactly have an original article concept here: I wrote something somewhat similar back in March: [www.uproxx.com]
It’s an unfortunate reality of niche coverage that sometimes articles on one site will overlap with another. I appreciate that this overlap can make you upset, but rest assured there is no malice whatsoever here and we certainly didn’t steal your article.
I credited Fashionably Geek for pointing out the site, and they credited you for pointing out the site. I did not, however, “completely rip off” anything. All the pictures are from What’s Shop’s flickr and tumblr, which I linked to. Since you accused me of the worst thing a writer can do professionally (plagiarism) both here and at Facebook, I won’t be linking to your site. If you had just asked without insulting me I would have added a link out of politeness, even though I heard about What’s Shop from Fashionably Geek.
