To repeat, Keiji Inafune, creator of Mega Man is making a cell-shaded Ninja Gaiden spin-off in which you slice and dice zombies. Seems like an odd fit, but Inafune has never been exclusively about cute blue robots — he was also producer of the Dead Rising series, and is close pals with the splatter-happy guys over at Platinum Games.

Consider my interest piqued. Looks like this game may make up nicely for the somewhat less-than-stellar Ninja Gaiden 3.

I’ve never played a Ninja Gaiden game, never been interested; but this looks pretty nifty.
All Inafune has to do is market is as “Not Ninja Gaiden 2″ and it will have my money. Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black or incredible and Keiji Inafune is the god damn man.
