Rob Liefeld keeps threatening to bring his misbegotten, footless creations to movie screens (both Bloodstrike and Godyssey have been optioned) but now he’s taken it a step further — Rob Liefeld’s gone and written a movie script about Rob Liefeld. Er, and the other founders of Image Comics I guess, but mostly it’s about Rob Liefeld.
This Liefeld/Image founders biopic is called ‘Icons’, because come on, what else would it be called? Hit the jump for an excerpt…
Here’s the dramatic centerpiece of the picture — the time Rob Liefeld met Eazy-E.
“I’m lovin’ me some Youngblood bro.”
Oh Eazy, you made some poor life decisions, didn’t you? Hit the second page for the continuation of this fantastic scene…

I don’t know of any studio that would be able to finance this. Why, the pouch budget alone would be $40 million!
I’m not sure Jim Valentino’s mullet could be replicated with modern day technology.
Yeah, but think how much they’ll save on shoes since no shot will be below the knee!
Winner, winner.
Is.. Is this real?
I’ve been laughing about this for at least a day. I don’t plan on stopping soon either.
I call shenanigans. Everyone knows Eric mutha fkn Wright spells his name w/ a Z and not a S.
Well, obviously Rob Liefeld doesn’t actually know who Eazy-E is.
Speaking of punchable faces (not talking about Easy btw)
Liefield has become the M Night Shyamalan of the comic world.
No, M. Night Shyamalan made one good thing.
I consider helping to create Cable to be his one good thing.
I hope he illustrates this script. Or better yet, someone out there pulls all of his art from various comics and pieces it together to fit the narration.
I’m sorry but this is FANTASTIC! I will watch the shit out of this if it ever makes it to the big screen. One question though, isn’t Icon an imprint of Marvel? I know he’s not meaning to reference them and just blowing smoke up his own ass but why the hell wouldn’t this just be called “Image”?
Because Image makes it sounds like there’s no substance.
Possibly because they kicked his worthless ass to the curb?
This post is straight up gangster. There arent enough pouches to contain my joy right now.
Oh man, he really does misspell Eazy-E. I thought that was a joke.
And apparently he wrote the entire script in three days. And he thinks that’s a good thing.
I never read much Cable growing up (was more of a Batman/Spider-Man dude), but I LOVED Cable & Deadpool. Liefeld made it tougher than necessary to go back and enjoy earlier Cable stuff when I got around to doing it.
If this happens, I hope Rob’s in charge of costuming too. Eazy-E with ALL the pouches!
Rob Liefeld is worse than AIDS. I WENT THERE.
I know one of the guys in that photo. I am *so* embarrassed.
