Zoe Saldana, who you might remember as Uhura from the Star Trek reboot or being really hot, is apparently about to sign up for another galactic crew.
Specifically, she’ll be joining Andy Dwyer and possibly Jim Carrey swiping the role that H. Jon Benjamin deserves as a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Specifically…:
Saldana would play Gamora, the green-skinned humanoid who is the last of a species that was exterminated by a race known as the Badoon. She also happens to be a skilled assassin.
Saldana is a good choice beyond being, well, Zoe Saldana. She’s worked extensively with special effects and tentpoles, and tends to do a lot even with thinly written roles. So far this movie is looking to have an excellent cast, at the very least; now, come on, Hollywood, H. Jon Benjamin for Rocket Raccoon. You know you want to.
