Here’s Our First Look At The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Action Figures

Marvel may have ordered us to take down the awesome GIFs of Rocket Raccoon and Groot from yesterday (and we may have replaced them with a relevant Grumpy Cat GIF), but that doesn’t mean they’ve entirely forgot about the fans. Marvel has released the first picture of Hasbro’s Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends Infinite Series 6-inch action figures.

The pictures come from a promotion for the 2014 Toy Fair, in which the figures are posed to mimic the first official photo (above) from the film:

Here’s more about the series, via Yahoo!

Hasbro’s “GOTG” line includes six figures total. In addition to those pictured above — Gamora (played by Zoe Saldana in the film), Peter Quill/Star Lord (Chris Pratt), Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper), and Drax the Destroyer (WWE superstar Dave Bautista) — attendees will be the first to see the two remaining figures when they’re unveiled Saturday. And no, Groot (the tree-like creature voiced by Vin Diesel) doesn’t count in this case because he’s the Build-a-Figure character for the line; each figure comes with an extra piece that allows you to assemble your own Groot (and chop him down, if you see fit). Or… I could just buy Rocket Raccoon and construct the remainder of Groot out of Play-Doh and hedge clippings.

Now for a closer look. Here’s Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Star-Lord (Chris Pratt).

Here’s my favorite, Rocket Raccoon, modeled after Oreo the Raccoon and voiced by Bradley Cooper.

And here’s Drax The Destroyer (Dave Bautista) alongside Groot (voice by Vin Diesel).

The figures are supposed to hit stores in July — a month before Guardians of the Galaxy opens — for around $20 each.
