By now, I'm sure you've seen the AMAZING write-up from Boise Weekly writer Josh Gross, who had the misfortune of having to preview a Nickelback show. (Not just Nickelback, but also Bush, Seether, and My Darkest Days, an all-too-fitting band name for that bill.) While the majority of us think Gross deserves some kind of GREATEST AMERICAN HERO medal, some people are pissed at him, as if a writer has to be positive about EVERY band that passes through their town. Here are 10 great "HOW DARE YOU" responses.

This is why I could never be any sort of reporter for music. There is a lot of music I don’t like and I would have a hard time staying ‘positive’.
you could always write for pitchfork..
I’m not enough of a hipster. I also would just dislike every album on there
Is there any worse argument than the appeal to popularity? There was a certain leader who was VERY popular in Germany in the 1930s…
Paul von Hindenburg?
Call Me Maybe is pretty popular and it’s terrible. We should all embrace openly mocking mainstream music fans.
Here is the polite version of Josh’s review
The AP style a-hole is my favorite, because he right good.
Love that guy. Best comment their.
I really don’t like nickelback at all. They remind me of all those other broski party rock frat boy bands. But in a professional context I don’t see how writing that was needed. If you like them then fine if you dont that’s cool to. But there’s really no need to pontificate on the bands merits or lack there of in a professional setting like that
Hating Nickelback is like, soooooo mainstream
Never been prouder to not use facebook.
If you like Nickelback then you’re an idiot. Let’s not mince words here. They’re terrible and you’re terrible for liking them.
