A few weeks ago, we told you about President Obama’s Led Zeppelin speech at the Kennedy Center Honors, and last night, footage from the ceremony aired on CBS. The two best moments: the Foo Fighters’, with Taylor Hawkins on lead vocals and Dave Grohl on drums, ferocious cover of “Rock and Roll,” and President Obama mouthing the lyrics to “Whole Lotta Love,” while simultaneously tapping out the song’s solo on Michelle’s arm.
Good thing no one played “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You.” So many mixed messages.

Here’s the Heart performance that brought Robert Plant to tears (I think in a good way)
That’s a pretty good living history of Seattle music right there.
Thank you for posting that. What Heart did was far better and more interesting then anything the Foo Fighters did.
Dave Grohl is a BEAST
That guy in Foo Fighters CANNOT sing for shit. Holy crap, he was worse than Kid Rock.
Dave Grohl is such a homie, killing it on the drums up there, are you joking? He cares about the music. check out his trailer for his upcoming film.
