Oh, did you know that Dave Grohl, aka UPROXX’s Jesus, has a new music documentary coming out about a legendary LA-area recording studio? Because he does! And by all accounts it’s pretty awesome. In the interview above, Grohl talks a bit the origins of the film and then he performed a song with his “Sound City Players.”
Last night, Grohl and a band of studio musicians appeared on Letterman, with Grohl talking about the movie and the soundtrack and the band, along with Stevie Nicks, playing the soundtrack cut “You Can’t Fix This,” which pretty much sounds like grunge Fleetwood Mac. Watch the interview and the performance below.
The performance is embedded below. Enjoy!

Dave Grohl could read from a phone book for five hours, and I would sit attentively and listen. BTW, saw Sound City on VOD last week and thought it was pretty cool. If you like music history,or music in general, I recommend it.
Hmmm Stevie didn’t age the last 10 yrs or something?
FYI….you can download it from the website for like $12. I got it for $10 last week when he did his AMA on Reddit.
I didn’t want to wait for the morning to watch the interviews so I was flipping back between Grohl’s interview and another God among man, Timothy Olyphant on Letterman.

I like how Stevie Nicks sings with her hands of the lyrics, especially when she shows fear in the beginning.
I don’t use this word lightly, but Steve Nicks is kind of grody.
Very cool! Sound City looks amazing. 3/12 can’t come soon enough
