Merry Christmas, everybody: it’s seven minutes of lost “ALF” outtakes, in which everyone’s favorite party alien swears, sexually harasses the cast and crew, mimes drug use, and uses the N-word like it’s a Tourette’s tic. Clinto at the excellent Badtvblog writes:
The clip comes from a youtube user that bought the footage as a VHS tape off of Ebay ten years ago and to date it has never aired (for obvious reasons).
For those of you who don’t want to watch all seven minutes, here are some of the highlights:
1:20 — ALF says “Get the Pep Boys in here!” then pretends to snort cocaine.
4:38 — “N**ger! N**ger! N**ger!”
4:55 — More N-bombs
I dunno, maybe it’s because he’s a puppet, maybe it’s because this happened over 20 years ago, but I’m not really upset about it. He’s like a nicer, furry version of Mel Gibson. Oh man, could you imagine if Mel Gibson ate a cat? It would be performance art.

Hey, Willie!
I always forget that Mrs. Seinfeld was an 80s sex symbol.
Wouldn’t this show have been better if it aired on HBO and they wrote ALF like Kenny Powers?
Remember Alf? He’s back…in wog form!
@ryan
They did. It was called “greg the bunny”
Wow…ALF is from MELmac. Mind = blown.
You think that’s bad? You should see the B-roll of Oscar the Grouch talking about Bert & Ernie.
@Danger – I once saw a Fraggle Rock snuff film.
The behind the scenes goings on of Alf has always been rumoured to be some crazy shit. Wasn’t that permanent midnight movie starring Ben Stiller a thinly veiled take on the coke fueled mental break down of a writer for the ALF show?
I can vividly remember the 20/20 Tourette’s piece he’s doing. “Nickels, dimes, quarters,” “I’m the Polish prince of Penis!” My friends and I talked like that for MONTHS afterwards… granted we we’re 14, but still.
He was making fun of this episode of LA Law that aired around the same time. If you put into context what he is doing, then you better understand. Everything isn’t as simple and one-sided as some people present things. Remember the Dept of Ag woman Shirley Shefford who was fired because someone showed part of a tape of her giving a speech? Although a ridiculous example, Alf was doing this in context for the time it happened. [www.youtube.com]
