All Plus-Sized Black Women Look the Same

Last night on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens,” Ashley from Milwaukee called in to express her fondness for “Community” star Yvette Nicole Brown’s masterful Golden-Globe winning turn in last year’s The Help. There was only one catch: Yvette Nicole Brown wasn’t in The Help. But Octavia Spencer was, and, well, she’s black. And a plus-sized woman. How is anyone supposed to know they are different people?

Poor Ashley from Milwaukee, she just wanted to be on TV. To be fair, Sherri Shepherd was also on the show, and that probably threw her off. She saw two heavy-set black women on stage and she probably thought, what the hell. How many plus-sized black women could there be in Hollywood, anyway? It has to be one of them, right? And if she’s wrong, what does she lose besides HER DIGNITY.

What a dumbass. The degree of difficulty is not that hard. It’s not like she had to tell the difference between Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Now that mistake I could forgive.
