I have terrible news, and it’s probably best if I just come right out and say it: TNT has passed on “Scent of the Missing,” their pilot about a K-9 search and rescue team. You may remember this show from Warming Glow’s coverage of its original order and the casting of its doggy stars. To say we were excited about this show would be an understatement. Just look at the description:

YOU PICKED A DOCTOR SHOW BASED ON A BOOK BY SANJAY GUPTA OVER A SHOW ABOUT A DOG AND THE HOT LADY FROM “BATTLESTAR GALLACTICA” SAVING LIVES ? THAT’S IT. YOU’RE DEAD TO ME, TNT. YOU HEAR ME? DEAD.

And poor Tricia. This is her second failed pilot in a row, after NBC passed on that magic police show. Show some respect for Caprica Six.

This article should have been accompanied by an animated GIF of Helfer as a stripper during her guest appearance on “Chuck.” Also, shots of Summer Glau doing almost anything.
Wait, Tricia Helfer played a stripper on Chuck? Maybe I gave up on that show too early.
