What's On Tonight: 'Louie' Tries To Make Us Respect Jay Leno

Louie (FX, 10 p.m.) — I have very mixed feelings about this two-part episode (“Late Show”) because while it’s funny, it also features Jay Leno. After the Dane Cook episode, I actually felt a little shred of affection for Cook (it quickly went away, like a rash), and I don’t want to feel anything like that for Jay Leno. Why would Louis C.K. put us in this awkward position?

Children’s Hospital (Adult Swim, 11:59 p.m.) — Did you guys read about Ken Marino and Nick Kroll’s fake fight which resulted in Marino’s fake arrest and Kroll’s fake apology, and a bunch of real articles written about it, which provides real promotion to The League? Genius, isn’t it? I only mention it because everyone on The League and Children’s Hospital plays in the same sandbox. Actually, most of the good sketch comedians play in the Children’s Hospital sandbox, though I imagine they don’t earn more than $15 and a can of soda for each appearance.

Misfits (LOGO, 10 p.m.) — (Second Season Premiere) If there’s one British show that people have bugged me to watch more than any other, it’s Misfits, and I swear I’m going to. One day. But probably not now, because I don’t think I can find LOGO on my cable box.

Awkward (MTV, 10 p.m.) — Have you seen Awkward? It’s on my list of the 5 Best Shows You Probably Didn’t Watch Over the Summer. It’s great, and don’t let the fact that it’s on MTV convince you otherwise.

Glee (Fox, 9.p.m.) — Fourth season premiere. I have nothing to say about this show except that I don’t care about it from the very, very bottom of my heart.

LATE NIGHT LISTINGS: Dave Matthews is on Jimmy Kimmel tonight (where did that guy go?), Katey Sagal is on Ferguson, and Emma Watson is on Fallon. Everything else is in reruns.
