A few weeks back our boy Danger labeled Louis C.K.’s character in Louie as the “Charlie Brown of sex,” always having the football pulled away from him right as he’s about to kick it, or so he thinks. Now, I’m not sure if DG saying that inspired the little slice of genius embedded above, but we’re going to go ahead and take muse credit for it.
Anyway, enjoy this short Charlie Brown holiday special made in the manner Louis C.K. would probably make it, if only to scratch any Louie itch you may have since the show’s not coming back for a while.

That wasn’t as good as I hoped it’d be.
Well, if someone can’t be funny they might as well go for bleak and nihilistic while co-opting a childhood favorite and someone much, much funnier than them.
that was fantastic.
I loved that even more than I expected.
I remember trying to think of what adult Peanuts characters would be doing. This was definitely better. Naturally, Peppermint Patty/Marcy… Figured Pigpen was working in construction or the oil fields… Linus was a junkie living on the streets… Lucy was a food blogger with a nasty disposition… Schroeder had something debilitating ruin his ability to play and now he was a music teacher… and Chuck worked in I.T. somewhere out of state where he’d never have to see them, and Sally would have 5 kids by 4 different guys (Linus being responsible for 2 of them).
Like I said, this was way better. And I spend too much time thinking about nothing important.
