Two fun episodes last night, heavily featuring Brooklyn Decker, who did not dress revealingly, but she WAS funny. Surprisingly so (having seen her in that Adam Sandler travesty, I did not expect much). My only real complaint with last night’s back-to-back episodes was the fact that Dirty Randy was teased, but only showed up for the last 90 seconds of the second episode. But you know what? He was totally worth it. In fact, I had feared I wouldn’t have enough quotes to fill today’s post, but Dirty Randy and Rafi nailed the last five slots in under two minutes of screen time between them. That last line of the episode, spoken to Deion Sanders, may have been my favorite line of the season, although three-fourths of it was in Jason Mantzoukas’ perfect delivery.
Let’s get to the 15 best lines from last night’s episodes.

All you Ruxin wannabes masturbate away in the dark to this, your favorite clip: [www.youtube.com]
Deion Sanders is by far the funniest football player guest star that the show has had. That final scene could definitely have kept going on. Sanders was somehow playing on the same level as Rogen and Mantzoukas and it was amazing.
It’s all my fault… and Jermichael Finley *sob*
The Tribiadii scene was wrong and so great.
EAT ME! EAT ME! TAKE IT YOU SLUT!
i’ve always felt that the league flies by in terms of time (like 15 minutes tops), where as sunny feels like the normal 22-23 minutes. i cant get enough of it!
Very addictive. They have an excellent crew.
I’m coming out of retirement. More Dirty Randy please.
Rafi makes anything good…anything!
nice lol
“My sister’s vagina belongs in the Louvre.”
That’s why I watch this show.
“Why, because a bunch of Frenchman are inside of it?”
“And Belgians, too!”
All the Benelux countries have been in there.
I agree it was a dicktease to have Dirty Randy and Rafi at the very end of the ep but the exchange was worth it. Never really paid attention to Brooklyn Decker but geezus she was hot and hilarious. *sigh*
The scene with Ruxin and his doctor had some great stuff.
Anyone know why they’re running through this season so quickly? I guess they’re supposed to be airing two episodes again next week to finish out the season
Sunny is short this year, so they are doubling up on The League episodes so they end at the same time.
Two fantastic episodes, totally makes up for the last few. Rafi’s last line was superb.
The other good line of his was referring to his sister as his “sister-wife” or “sister-bride”.
“And our son, baby Geoffrey.”
That whole monologue where Rafi is just describing what happens to everyone after the Mayan Apocalypse was gold.
Finally figured out my problem with this show: it’s not over-the-top enough. Ruxin, Taco, and Rafi are awesome, but the other four are just too ordinary for their meanness and stupidity to be funny. Whereas the Sunny gang’s shenanigans are so cartoonish that they become lovable and riotously funny, these guys are relatively mundane; doesn’t quite work. That said, wow, Brooklyn Decker was so fucking evil! I loved it. That must mean she’s a total sweetheart in real life, right?
no, this show needs a couple characters that have a semblance of normalcy to them. otherwise this would just be Upper Class It’s Always Sunny with Fantasy Football.
I don’t really see the problem with that. But if you’re saying that every show needs to make itself unique even if it’s less funny as a result, I suppose that’s a fair point. I don’t agree with it, however.
All i’m saying is if I want over the top batshit depraved and insane behavior, i can watch Sunny. they have the market cornered on that, and it’s great. The League is depraved in it’s own way, but I don’t want it to copy Sunny in it’s tone and set up which is essentially what it sounds like you’d prefer. League is a ridiculous fucking show, but it still has a tiny sliver of realism to it and having down to earth relatively normal characters to react to the likes of Dirty Randy, Raffi, Taco, etc. is what makes that dynamic work.
Ah, I see what you mean now. I don’t personally get much enjoyment out of the reactions to Raffi and such, but if you do, then that makes sense. And I guess the mere contrast between the normals and the crazies also has some value (though we do get a good deal of that in Sunny too, from its guest characters).
At any rate, I don’t need another Sunny, so it’s probably best that The League stick to its own identity. I just wish I didn’t hate so many of its principal characters.
Brooklyn Decker was fantastic, she needs to make regular appearances.
I think she comes back in the season finale next week.
yup

So does Papa Ruxin.
I agree, Brooklyn killed it. And Goldblum back next week too? Can. Not. Wait.
Goldblum’s coming back? Yes! Hoping they end the season on a high note then.
The set up of Andre’s place using the MTV’s Cribs format was great.
Calling someone Chemo should never be funny but being said by a filthy mouthed model makes it okay.
Wasnt aware we were getting 2 episodes last night. I was pretty pumped. Ended up being two really good episodes to boot.
Also, I like Unsupervised and I dont care who knows it.
Last nights Unsupervised was amazing
If Brooklyn Decker is in any way that cold in real life, hot damn that would make her 1000 times hotter than lava.
I took me until this morning to figure out that was her. I’m gonna send Bum Fight links so we can be friends.
I like to think she constantly mocks tennis-boy after he gets bounced out of the first round by a Euro player and makes him cry like Pete.
needed way more Dirty Randy and Raffi. they shouldn’t be in every episode, but when they do show up it should be for the majority of the episode.
and with that comment i just earned the raffi badge
All proposals should start with “Adam Levine once tweeeted…”
Scratch that, every sentence should start that way…
God I laughed so hard at that I had to pause and rewind the episode.
I can’t imagine Andre proposing any other way. I like to think he’s got a list of such tweets made by celebrities on his phone, along with his slam list
I Googled it and he really did tweet that once
Didn’t Levine get dumped by his model girlfriend over a tweet or a press release?
Foreshadowing, perhaps?
Everyone dressed as Andre was fantastic, the dinner was fantastic, and I actually hope Andre has found love. Also it’ll probably hilariously fail!
One thing that’s missing this season though : where are the Taco songs?
I know they had one in the Anchor baby episode that got cut, so they posted it to facebook.
I think my favourite Taco song was the one he sang in the first episode at the birthday party
I was never all that fond of the songs so I can do without it. The only musical comedy that’s ever consistently made me laugh was Flight of the Conchords.
Considering Andre’s wardrobe is one of my favorite things in life, this episode pleased me.
Yeah, I can’t believe the infinity scarf comment didn’t make it into best lines
Ha! “Where’s the rest of your sweater?”
Deion was a better actor than most of the sportslebrity guests they have.
Every time the guys appeared on screen in their Andre outfits I was dying.
The wardrobe/costume designer earned her pay this week.
I’m so glad i started watching this show. It’s perfect. How the F does Modern Family get awards and this show gets nothing. I hate everyone.
I wonder who the F is watching Modern Family. That show got really shitty really fast.
I saw an episode this year and it’s so stale and obvious. All the Golden Globe nominations…Smash is a comedy? Huh?
The gay couple makes it seem like it’s an edgy and progressive show to whatever decrepit fucks actually vote for these things, when in fact it’s just the same tired old sitcom tropes and cliches played over and over again.
I loved those episodes. Easily the best so far in my eyes
Pete’s crying?? Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal.
Best episodes of “The League” so far this season? I was dying during Rafi’s explanation of the post-apocalyptic world.
Same. The sound dick bit got me too. Rafi just cuts to the core of me
I have got to see the outtakes from Dirty Randy and Rafi. Not sure how they can film a scene with either of them with out somebody losing their sh*t.
I was super drunk when I saw these last night so I get to watch them all over again and it’ll be like watching them for the first time.
That last line, oh my god.
I was so happy I was watching it live, cause my the recording on my DVR cut off that last line.
Yeah I am angry that it cut off that last line when I rewatched it. If there was an award for best Television tag that would be it.
I made it through “It’s my sound dick,”: but couldn’t stop laughing over “Buddy, I don’t know who you are, but you’re about to get Chlamydia,” all night.
The sound dick thing killed me. Raffi makes every episode 1000x better
It was excellent delivery
Dirty Randy and Rafi frequently nail the last five slots in under two minutes together. I don’t know if they have a name for it, but it’s pretty messy.
more like a hot mess……… a hot mess that livens up the show….
Sure Decker didn’t dress revealingly, but holy shit she looked hotter than usual in the dinner scene. Also, I lost it at “it’s my sound dick.”
She seems like she would make a fantastic hate fuck.
I think the dark hair helped, because she looked crazy hot last night.
She was actually good. And not just in a ‘I’ll tell you you’re good because you’re pretty’ sort of way
I would watch a bum fight with her any day, she’s a pretty lady.
Yeah I thought she was both extremely hot, especially as a brunette (and I usually prefer blondes), and she was actually quite good in this role, kudos to her.
She’s earned the right to go on that date with me she’s been asking for so long.
Also, cleavage.
