Her name is Rowan Blanchard, and people who have kids or like HORRIBLE movies may know her from Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D and The Back-up Plan, but soon, we will all know her as Riley, the daughter of Cory and Topanga in the upcoming Girl Meets World, which will see the return of Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel as her parents.
“As soon as Rowan walked into the room, I was reminded of why Ben Savage was loved as Cory Matthews,” says Boy Meets World creator Michael Jacobs. “Rowan is real and accessible and I am hopeful this girl is about to meet a world that will love growing up with her as well.”
The pilot will go into production next month, and should the show be greenlit to series (oh, it will), Girl Meets World is likely to debut on this fall’s Disney Channel line-up. Ben Savage, as you can see from the Tweet below, is pretty excited.
Better still, this can only mean that we are a year or two away from Saved by the Bell: The New NEW Class featuring the children of the original cast.

We’ll see how she is at acting, but she definitely looks plausible as the offspring of Corey and Topanga.

Every time I see a piece about “Boy/Girl Meets World” news, I am just amazed at how many legitimately adult people on the internet still care/ever cared about Boy Meets World. I mean, it’s not like they’re bringing back The Wonder Years, here. (And they couldn’t, because Kevin and Winnie didn’t end up together. And THAT’S how you end a show.)
I think it depends on how old you were when this show was on. I’m in the older age bracket and never gave two fucks about this show. But Wonder Years ? oh so many fucks I still give.

I love The Wonder Years as much as the next person, but I was the perfect age for this show to hit me in the 90′s. and maybe it’s giving into nostalgia but i’ve caught reruns of it on lately and i still think it holds up.

Who cares about those weenie Savage brothers, there barely held Little Monsters together with what they call acting. The ‘critical’ thing were missing here is Topnagas boobs! And boy jave I missed em!!
